We're looking at supporting COM5 and up but for now please take Alan's advice and set the USB adaptor to COM4 or lower using Device Manager and all should be ok.

I just bought one of these...and we are having a very tough time getting Windows to recognise it.  We bought it off of e-bay and it didn't come with any software, does anyone know what I need to do to get this thing to work? ???

yes, we have tried signgo...but being new at this we can't quite figure out how to use it.  the help menus won't come up for us.  The problem seems to be that we can't bring up any of the vector images in order to cut them.  This is driving me absolutely crazy!!!! Sounds like a communication problem - check the settings for the communications in the plotter and in the software. they must match.

Its possible the software is not finishing the data - what software is it?

You could try the Graphtec web site by clicking Multimedia File Viewing and Clickable Links are available for Registered Members only!!  You need to Login or Register. If the driver is not available you can drive it using SignGo  

im havin problems with the xy300p same problem on my laptop with a usb adapter or my tower which just died..both with xp.. i have some logos for a repeat customer which its cuts the whole thing 3 times eaCH  which kills the lettering.. i just upgraded to verson 1.17 from1.11 and uninstalled it like the direction but is stil shows 1.11 in the about tab.. anyways no it cuts half the sticker 3 times and the rest correctly.. whick kinda works because the letters are part that is correct.. but it still aggervates me cause sometimes it gets off slightly on 2nd and 3rd cuts.. ive also tried on windows 7 on sons computer but not the logo in question.. they were long stickers  and about half way through it took a hard right all the way to the end and continued to try to go further.. i cut 6 stickers to get 3 sometimes it oes fine sometimes it dont.. im lost..

I just bought a used Master xy-300p vinyl cutter plotter and signgo v1.xx software. I have no clue what I am doing! There needs to be a "dummies" version of what steps to take to make things work. I have everything hooked up and program in the drive, but cant make it cut from the screen but can make it do a test cut from the cutter itself, which I must have messed up as it wants to tear the vinyl while it makes its litte square and circle thing. Does anyone know where I can go to find a dvd that shows you how to work this thing or a manual anywhere? Thanks!!!
